The path is in terrible condition and is very dangerous for bikers. Fred Raiford, the city-parish's transportation and drainage director, says he is aware of the issue but notes a total upgrade of the path would cost $45,000. "Unfortunately, we do not have the funding in our budget to do that," Raiford said.
